Junior: Reid
proved to be one of the top pitchers for NM State in 2010 throwing a team-high
73 1/3 innings and tying for the team-high with six wins. On the year, Reid went 6-3 making
team-high 14 starts on the year. He tallied 50 strikeouts on the year and had a
season-high seven strikeouts against Missouri (2/21) in Tucson, Ariz. Reid worked a season-high seven
complete innings at Sacramento State (4/23). That day he gave up two runs, while only one of those runs
was earned as the Aggies defeated the Hornets 4-2 and Reid took his record to
5-1. Reid had a no-decision, when
he threw 6 2/3 innings in game two of the double header at Hawai'i (5/14). He gave up only one run that day and
didn't walk a single batter while striking out four. Reid finished the season with a 6.38 ERA, 50 K's,
while posting only 13 walks and four wild pitches, as he was showing great
command all year.
Junior College:
Reid pitched for Roger Ward, Rocky Ward's brother, from 2008-09 at Northeastern
Oklahoma A&M. While there, he
helped his team win a Bi-State Conference Championship in 2008, while the 2009
team were runners-up. Reid was
awarded the Carl Rigney Award and
earned all-conference honorable mention in 2009. He led the team in innings
pitched, strikeouts and wins both years he played at NEO A&M.
High School: Reid
didn't play baseball, but did play football for Fredericton High School where
he led his team to an 8-1 record in 2005 and a 9-1 record in 2006. His team was Provincial Champions in
2005 and runners-up in 2006, while he was a two-time all star. He was named 2005 Special Teams Player
of the Year and was named Defensive Player of the Year in 2006.

Reid is the son of Tom and Dagmar Reid.
He was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada and is majoring in Sociology
in the department of Arts and Sciences.
