Biography

Junior:  Reyes was a middle reliever for the Aggies in 2009 and made 16 appearances on the mound.  He acquired 21 strikeouts in 23.2 innings of work while allowing only five walks.  Reyes threw a season-high 3.0 innings against Houston-Baptist (5/1) and earned his only win as NM State won 12-11.  That day he marked a season-high six strikeouts while allowing only one walk.  Reyes was also one of only three Aggies to pick off at least two runners in 2009.

Junior College: Reyes played at Fullerton College in Fullerton, Calif. Reyes had an ERA of 2.90 with nine saves. He helped his team to a 34-12 record in the 2008 season.

High School: Reyes went to St. Paul High School in Santa Fe Springs, Calif. He played baseball and football for the Swordmen and helped both teams to league championships all four years of high school. Reyes was named Pitcher of the Year, Most Valuable Player, earned all-league honors and all area during high school. He held an ERA of 2.21 with five saves while with the Swordmen.

Personal: Reyes is the son of Ed Reyes and Rose Deville and was born in Bellflower, Calif. He is majoring in sociology.
