Biography

2004 (Junior): Cameron should be the Aggies? number one starter this spring.

2003 (Sophomore): Dustin was a second team all-Sun Belt Conference pick, the first Aggie pitcher to earn all-conference recognition since 1999. Cameron led the team in victories (8), earned run average (5.04), complete games (2), innings pitched (96.1), and was second in strikeouts (69) and third in games started (15). He is the Aggies? #2 starter. Cameron was clutch for the Aggies in league play last season, clinching one series with a victory out of the bullpen (Middle Tennessee) and squaring the UL Lafayette series with a victory as a starter. He also gave the Aggies? a pair of series sweeps with game three victories as a starter (Florida International and Western Kentucky).

He tied for eighth in most wins in a single season at NMSU. Dustin was tied for seventh in the Sun Belt Conference in innings pitched, tied for third in victories and tied for fourth in starts.

Cameron was 3-3 in his final six starts which included a start in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament and the NCAA Tournament. He had a 4.00 earned run average during that stretch including two seven-inning complete game victories.

He pitched brilliantly against #4 Arizona State, allowing only three runs on three hits through 6.2 innings. He allowed only one run on one hit through six innings against a Sun Devil team that was averaging 10 runs per game.

Dustin was 4-2 with a 5.27 earned run average in league play. He came out of the bullpen in the first conference series of the season (Middle Tennessee), but was moved back into the starting rotation the rest of the year. He allowed only two home runs over the final five starts covering 29 innings.

Dustin pitched at least six innings 11 times last year. He earned a save in his first ever appearance for the Aggies, a four inning, three hit, no run performance against College of the Southwest (1/25). He won five of his first six decisions with victories over Portland (2/8), Rhode Island (2/15), Drexel (3/1), Middle Tennessee (3/23) and UL Lafayette (4/5).

He struck out seven, walked none and allowed only one earned run against Rhode Island in a 13-4 victory.

Dustin earned the Sun Belt Conference Pitcher of the Week after allowing just four hits and one run in a seven-inning, complete game 2-1 victory over Florida International to give the Aggies? a key, three-game road series sweep.

He came back the following week and worked five innings, allowing just four hits and two earned runs while striking out five in an 18-7 win over Western Kentucky (5/3).

He earned a victory in his final regular season start, hurling seven innings while allowing only six hits and two earned runs while striking out six.

Cameron started the Aggies SBC Tournament game against UL Lafayette and went six innings, allowing just four hits while tying a career high with eight strikeouts. He allowed five earned runs and was saddled with the loss. Cameron was undefeated at home in 2003, posting a 6-0 record with one save in nine appearances. He posted a sterling 3.98 earned run average at Presley Askew Field in 52 innings. He struck out 41 and walked just 19 at home and allowed only four home runs.

2001-02 (Freshman): Cameron was 3-4 with a 2.50 ERA and had the fifth lowest ERA in the conference as a freshman at Brookhaven College. He missed the 2002 season due to an arm injury.

High school: Cameron was a first team all-district pick his junior and senior seasons at Allen High School in Allen, Texas.

Personal: Dustin was born in Joplin, Missouri and is the son of Patsy Mahfouz. He is majoring in Pre Business Administration
