Biography

2004 (Senior): Dustin has found a home in the Aggie outfield and should be a starter. He could also see some time on the mound this year and in the infield. He should be the Aggies' starter in left field and hit in the number two spot.

2003 (Junior): Dustin earned second team all-Sun Belt Conference honors as a utility player and had a 13-game hitting streak before the NCAA tournament. During that streak he went 23 for 52 for a .442 average with 12 RBI, 16 runs scored with two doubles, two triples and three home runs. The streak began on April 12 against New Orleans and continued through the Sun Belt Conference Tournament to May 22nd against UL Lafayette.

In consecutive games against LaSalle in mid-March, Mote went 5-for-7 with seven RBI and four runs scored. He blasted a grand slam in the sixth inning in the Aggies' 24-4 win over LaSalle.

Mote started 15 games in left field, six games at third base, one at second base, one as designated hitter and one in right field. He blasted two home runs and drove in three runs at South Alabama (5/10).

In the NCAA Tournament against UNLV (5/31), Dustin went 2-for-4 with a run scored.

Mote had a career high three hits against UT Pan American (5/16), New Mexico (4/22) and LaSalle (3/15). He had a career high four rbi against LaSalle (3/16). Dustin went 2-for-5 with a triple and a run scored in the SBC Tournament.

2001-02 (Freshman-Sophomore): Mote played two seasons at Yavapai College in Prescott, Arizona. Dustin hit .417 with 72 runs, 83 hits, 39 rbi, nine doubles, four triples and nine home runs as a sophomore. He also had 21 stolen bases in 24 attempts. He was a first team all-region and second team all-conference pick. His 72 runs scored were the third most in Roughrider history.

High school: Mote was an all-conference pick his sophomore, junior and senior seasons at Kingman High School. He batted .475 as a sophomore, .460 as a junior and .485 as a senior.

Personal: Dustin was born in Kingman, Arizona and is the son of Amy and Ernie Mote. He is majoring in Business. His older brother Trevor set Yavapai records for hits and batting average.
