2005 (SENIOR): After an off-season in which Emory improved his defense considerably, Davies should see a lot of playing time behind the plate and as a designated hitter this spring.
2004 (JUNIOR): Davies started 45 of 46 games for the Aggies at the designated hitter position. He hit .251 with 41 RBI out the seventh spot in the lineup. His 13 doubles ranked him fourth on the team and his 10 home runs ranked him fifth on the team.
Emory had 12 multiple RBI games, including six in which he drove in three runs or more. He also had nine multiple hit games and tied a team season-high with three doubles again Western Kentucky (5/8).
Davies opened the 2004 season swinging the bat well as he went 4-for-9 with six RBI in two wins over College of the Southwest (1/25-1/26). In game one, Emory went 1-for-3 with a single that drove home three runs in a 14-5 win. In the second game, Davies went 3-for-6, hitting his first home run of the season and driving in three more runs.
Davies continued to contribute to the Aggie offense throughout the 2004 non-conference season. In the second game of a doubleheader with Texas-San Antonio (2/15), Davies went 1-for-3 and hit his second homer of the season. In the series opener against Rhode Island (2/27), Emory helped the Aggies to a 15-6 win with a two-run home run. Then in the series finale with Pace University (3/15), he came off the bench and hit another two-run bomb to help the Aggies to a 11-7 win and a series sweep.
Against I-25 rival New Mexico in Albuquerque (3/30), Davies again came up big with the bat as he went 2-for-2 with a home run and a double to drive in four runs.
Davies was named the Sun Belt Conference Player of the Week after hitting .462 (6-for-13) in four games against Arkansas-Little Rock and New Mexico during the first week of April. He had four doubles, two home runs and had a pair of game winning hits against the Indians.
In the final game of the series at Louisiana-Lafayette (4/10), Emory went 3-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI.
Davies had his best conference showing in a series with Florida International at Las Cruces (4/30-5/2). In three games with the Golden Panthers, Emory went 7-for-12 with seven RBI and three runs. In game two, Davies erupted, going 3-for-4 with a home run and a double to drive in three runs. In the series finale, Emory went 2-for-5 with a double and two RBI.
In the second game of a doubleheader at Western Kentucky (5/8), Davies tied a season high with three doubles, going 3-for-4 with three RBI.
2003 (SOPHOMORE): Emory batted .312 with 13 home runs and 38 runs batted in 43 games during his sophomore year at John A. Logan in Carterville, Illinois. He played for the Torrington Twisters of the New England Collegiate Baseball League where he batted .247 with a home run and seven RBI. He helped lead the Twisters to the Southern Division title.
2002 (FRESHMAN): Davies played for the University of Kentucky his freshman year. He played in 30 games in 2002, starting seven and batted .213 with one triple, one home run and 11 RBI.
HIGH SCHOOL: Davies attended Pleasure Park High School in Louisville, Ky. where he played for the Panthers.
PERSONAL: Emory was born in Louisville, Ky. and is the son of Doug and Rachel Davies. He is majoring in Education.
