Biography

Junior:  Jared Jordan was a utility player for NM State in 2009 as he made 15 appearances on the mound and had a total of 63 at-bats as a first baseman and a pinch hitter.  On the mound, Jordan worked 69.1 innings and finished the year with a 5.71 ERA, which was second best of the top four starting pitchers in 2009.  Jordan did not tally a loss until his ninth start, which was came at Fresno State (4/12) as the Aggies fell 5-6.  Jordan ended the season with a 7-3 record as he started 11 games and came in as a reliever in four games.  Jordan worked a season-high 7.2 innings against Houston-Baptist and tallied a season-high nine strikeouts, which was also tied for the most strikeouts by an Aggie pitcher in 2009 as Tyler Sturdevant also struck out nine batters in a game.  His three picked off runners was tops for NM State, while his 53 K's was fourth best on the team.  Jordan was also a threat at the plate as he came up with a .365 batting average with six doubles, five home runs and 20 RBI.  Against San Jose State (5/9), Jordan posted a 2-for-3 day at the dish with two home runs and four RBI although the Aggies lost 15-11 in seven innings.  A week later, Jordan went 3-of-4 with a double, a home run and four RBI as but it wasn't enough as NM State fell to Louisiana Tech (5/15), 17-9.

Junior College: Jordan played for Northeastern Oklahoma A&M in Miami, Okla.  Jordan helped the Noresmen team gain back-to-back Bi-State conference championship titles in 2007-08.  Jordan held a .277 average with the Norsemen and compiled 25 RBI.

High School: Jordan went to Canyon Springs High School in Moreno Valley, Calif. where he played baseball and football. In 2006 Jordan was named Most Valuable Player, Offensive Player of the Year, first team all-league and first team all-county. In the same year, he helped the Cougars become back-to-back semi-finalists in their local conference.

Personal: Jordan is the son of Jerry and Kimberly Jordan and was born in Riverside, Calif. He is undecided in his major.
