Biography

Junior (2008):  Farnham played in 25 games for NM State in 2008, and allowed only two passed balls while at catcher.  He finished the season with a .359 batting average, .422 on-base percentage, a .487 slugging percentage and six RBI.  Against I-25 rival New Mexico (3/25) Farnham was 1-of-4 with a walk and scored twice as the Aggies won 15-2 in Albuquerque.  He came in as a sub against Panhandle State going 1-for-1 with a double to right field that helped the NM State to a 19-9 victory.  When Farnham got the start against conference foe Sacramento State, he got hot and went 2-for-5 with two doubles and a season-high three RBI to lead NM State to an 11-5 win.  In the summer of 2008, Farnham played in the Horizon Air Summer Series and earned first-team all-Series baseball team honors at catcher.  He played for the Santa Maria (Calif.) Packers and was second on the team in batting average at .336 with 38 hits and 24 RBI.

Junior College:  Farnham came to New Mexico State University after playing for Allan Hancock College as a catcher.  While playing for the Bulldogs he had a batting average of .253 his freshman year, and .330 his sophomore year. Farnham helped his team to a 22-22 record in 2006-07.  He was nominated for Southern California All-Star game and was named to the second-team All-Western State Conference as a catcher for his efforts that season.

High School:  Farnham played under coach Girod for the Faith Lutheran High School Crusaders.  During his high school career he helped the Crusaders win the state championship in 2003, 2004, and 2005.  Farnham’s battering average was .502, and hit four homeruns.  He was awarded first-team All-State catcher in 2004 and 2005.

 

Personal:  Farnham was born in Las Vegas, Nevada and is the son of Jeff and Irene Farnham.  He is studying business.
