Biography

Senior (2008):  Doyle sat out the 2008 season due to a medical redshirt.

 

Junior (2007):  Doyle threw 9 1/3 innings for NM State in 2007 and stuck out nine batters.  Versus Utah (2/11), Doyle sat down two batters in 1 1/3 innings, while giving up only one hit.  He followed that with a one inning, two-strike out performance against in-state rival New Mexico (2/13).  He pitched 2 1/3 innings against Dallas Baptist (3/2), which was his longest outing of the season and gave up only one run.

 

Sophomore (2006):  Doyle played for Fort Scott Community College in Fort Scott, Kansas as a left-handed pitcher.  The Greyhounds placed third in the Jayhawk East conference with a 35-21 record.

 

Freshman (2005):  The Greyhounds compiled a 5-21-32 record for the 2004-05 baseball season.

 

High School:  Doyle was a member of the St. Thomas Aquinas High School baseball team.  He was a left-handed pitcher for the Saints, who played to a 6-14 record.  In 2004, Doyle won a varsity letter for baseball.

 

Personal:  John was born in Cincinnati, Ohio and is the son of Kurt and Mary Doyle.  He is majoring in business.
