Junior (2013): Goldstrom began his Aggie career in 2013 by playing in 42 of 57 games while starting in 29 of those contests, including starting in 20 of 22 WAC matchups he played in. Goldstrom made 16 starts at second base and another 12 as the designated hitter. He finished the season with a .284 batting average, 31 hits, 10 runs scored, six doubles, a triple and nine RBIs. Goldstrom was solid on the defensive side for NM State, finishing the season with 22 putouts, 41 assists and no errors for a perfect fielding percentage. He had his best game of the season versus Texas Tech (Mar. 25), going 4-for-4 with a walk while collecting a season-high three RBIs.
Prior to NM State: Goldstrom was a part of the University of Nebraska baseball team for the 2011-12 season, but did not participate in any games. In the season prior to joining Nebraska, Goldstrom played with Hutch Community College where he played second-and third base. In the 2010 season, Goldstrom helped his team get a third place finish in the Junior College World Series, and they were ranked as high as third in the nation. Goldstrom was selected as a second team all-district player for his play at Hutch.
High School: Goldstrom attended Omaha Westside High School where he played third base. In 2009, Goldstrom helped his team win the state championship with a 30-4 record. He was selected first team all-state for his play in the 2009 season. Goldstrom also played strong safety for Omaha Westside's football team.
Personal: Goldstrom is the son of Larry and Carol Goldstrom and is from Omaha Neb. He is majoring in individualized studies at NM State.
