Junior (2007): Rosales established himself at third base and played in 53 games while he started in 52 of those games for the Aggies. He finished with a .272 batting average, as he came up with 50 hits. Rosales finished the season fifth on the team in hitting percentage (.386) percentage and fifth in RBI (25). He was also fourth in walks (24) and first in hit-by-pitch (11). In his third start of the season, Rosales went 2-for-3 against Utah (2/9) and crossed the plate three times to help his team to a 16-5 win. On the first road game of the year, Rosales was 2-of-5 at the plate and scored twice as the Aggies beat New Orleans (2/16) 7-5. In a game against Temple (2/25) when the Aggies scored 23 runs, he put up three runs and had two RBI which came off his first triple of the year. When the Aggies took on I-25 rival New Mexico (3/13) in Albuquerque, Rosales came up with three hits, including his second double of the year, and an RBI, while he scored twice to a 9-6 victory. He came up with 6 hits in the final two games of the opening conference series, which came against Sacramento State. Rosales hit his first home run of the year in the top of the ninth at San Jose State (3/25) and pounded in three RBI to help the Aggies to a come-from-behind 6-5 win. In a double-header against Northern Colorado (4/15) he had five RBI as NMSU swept the series that weekend. In a 4-3 win over Hawai’i-Hilo (4/25), Rosales was 2-of-4 with an RBI and a run. He came back and went 2-for-3 with two RBI, a double and a home run in the second game of a double-header against Hawai’i (4/28). He led the Aggies to a 9-4 victory in the series finale against the Rainbow Warriors that day.
Junior College: Rosales played for Chandler-Gilbert Community College under head coach Doyle Wilson. In 2006 he hit a .281 batting average in 128 at-bats. He also had 16 RBI and scored 36 runs that season. He was second on the team in assists with 85. Rosales helped his team to a 32-24 record that season. In 2005 Rosales earned Most Improved Player for the Coyotes as a freshman.
High School: Rosales played baseball for the Gilbert High School Tigers from 2001-04. In 2004 he helped the team to as regional championship and a second place finish in state. Rosales earned a first-team all-region honor and a second-team all-state honor for his efforts that season. He also participated in the Ariz. high school 5A All-Star game after that season.
Personal: Marcos Rosales was born in Mesa, Ariz. and is the son of Tim and Angie Rosales. He is undecided on a major.
