Junior (2007): Quade played in and started in 55 games at various positions for the Aggies during the 2007 season. Quade had an outstanding season for the Aggies, which was topped of with a record breaking 33 game hitting streak which last from March 13 against New Mexico to April 20 against Fresno State. He was also second on the team in batting average (.339), second in slugging percentage (.502), fourth in on-base percentage (.386), tied for third in runs scored (36), second in RBI (53), second in doubles (13) and first in hits (77). Quade hit the first of his eight home runs in a 23-5 win over Temple (2/25). He was also 2-for-3 with three RBI and crossed the plate twice that day. Quade went 2-fo-3 again and came up with two RBI and his second home run of the year at UT-Arlington (3/3) although the Aggies dropped the game 9-8. Against Utah Valley State (3/11) he helped the team to a 7-5 victory when he added a run to the board with a bomb over the centerfield wall. It was his third homer of the season. Quade got two doubles against Sacramento State (3/16) and went 3-for-5 at the plate with an RBI and a run scored. He was perfect at New Mexico (3/20) going 2-for-2 with two RBI, a walk and scored once. Quade picked up one of his hits in the fifth inning as he singled to left-center for an RBI that put the Aggies ahead 4-3 for the only NMSU lead of the game. He blasted another homer at San Jose State (3/25) going 2-of-4 with two RBI and scored two times as the Aggies came from behind to win 6-5. Quade brought the Aggies to within one run in the top of the eighth as he hit a home run over the left-center wall two bring in two runs. Quade extended his streak to 22 straight games with a hit. Quade went into the game at Fresno State (4/21) with the nation’s longest hit streak at 33 games, but went 0-for-4 at the plate that afternoon to end that streak. Against San Jose State (5/12) he was 4-of-5 in the box and contributed with the RBI. In the 10-5 loss that day he hit his seventh blast over the wall of the season. In the final game of the year, Quade hit his eighth and final home run of the year against Dallas Baptist (5/19) but that wasn’t enough as the Aggies fell 9-7.
Sophomore (2006): Quade played in 26 games for the Aggies while starting in 9 of them. He only allowed one passed ball while playing catcher. His batting average of .214 included three doubles and three home runs. Quade went 2-of-5 in his first start with one RBI in a 12-5 win against Utah (2/4). Against Northern Iowa (3/4) he brought in two runs on a sac-fly to help the Aggies break a school records of most runs scored in a game. Quade blasted his first home run of the season against Sacramento State (4/8) on a day that he went 1-for-3. At Hawai’i (4/22) he hit 2-of-3 at the plate that included one double. Quade would bomb his second and third home runs of the year at Louisiana Tech on consecutive days (5/13-14).
Freshman (2005): Marcus saw 12 games for the Aggies in his first year playing college ball as he hit .333 for the season with two doubles, four total hits, three runs scored and two RBI in 12 at-bats. Against Chicago State (2/18), Quade had two hits in four at-bats with two runs scored. Three appearances later against the College of the Southwest (3/4), he had two hits in two at-bats with two RBI and one run scored while hitting .400 for the game. On the diamond he recorded 12 putouts and four assists for a .963 fielding percentage.
High School: Quade graduated from Highlands Ranch High School and was a prep teammate of Aggie infielder Kyle McFadden. Marcus played two years of varsity baseball for the falcons and was named first team all-conference as junior and senior. Quade also played on the Junior Olympic team two years in a row.
Personal: Marcus was born in Westminster Colo. and is the son of Roger and Pam Quade. He is majoring in Athletic Training.
