New Mexico State University Athletics

Freshman (2014): In his freshman season for NM State, Evans appeared in 37 games with 11 starts as an infielder for the Aggies. Evans recorded two RBI with a .383 on base percentage. His first RBI came against Texas Tech (March 9) as the Aggies lost to the Red Raiders 14-4, while his second came against Chicago St. (May 17) with a win against the Cougars, 8-2. 

High School: Evans was a four-year varsity starter at Millard North High School in Omaha, Neb.  He played middle infield for the Mustangs until his graduation in 2013.  Evans was selected twice by Louisville Slugger Collegiate Baseball to the High School All-America team.  He was also a part of the USA All-Nebraska team that went undefeated in midwest region play.  During his final two seasons at Millard North, Evans led the state in stolen bases and on-base percentage.  He was also the running back for the football team that won two state championships.

Personal: Evans is the son of Joe and Andrea Evans and was born and raised in Omaha, Neb.  He is undecided on his major while at NM State.
