Biography

Freshman (2014): Moriarty pitched in 12 games for the Aggies in 2014. He finished the season with a 6.35 ERA and nine strikeouts in 11.1 innings pitched. Moriarty’s ERA improved on the road to 3.18. He also made three appearances at first base and tallied three assists.     

High School: Moriarty attended Capistrano Valley High School, located in Mission Viejo, Calif., graduating in 2013.  He pitched for the Cougars during all four years at CVHS.  During his senior season, Moriarty earned a South Coast League Pitcher of the Week nod.  He finished his junior year with a 3.41 ERA and 12 strikeouts and his senior year with a 3.70 ERA and 34 strikeouts. 

Personal: Moriarty is the son of Michael and Leslie Moriarty and was born in Laguna Hills, Calif.
