Biography

2004 (Senior): Peters will battle for time in the outfield and at designated hitter.

2003 (Junior): Peters played in 25 games and made six starts.

He had a three run double against UT Pan American on May 16. Matt blasted three solo home runs to center in the second inning and doubled to right in the sixth inning to drive in two more runs in the Aggies' 15-5 win over Portland (2/8). In the Aggies' 21-1 win over LaSalle (3/15), Peters drove in a pair of runs with a double to right in the first inning, drove in another run in the second with a single to left and drove in three runs with a double in the fourth.

He came off the bench against UT Pan American (5/16) and drove in three runs including two with a double to left in the fifth inning of the Aggies' 22-2 victory.

2001-02 (Freshman-Sophomore): Peters hit .351 with five home runs, four doubles and 29 runs batted in as a sophomore at Black Hawk Community College in Moline, Illinois. He was also second on the team in runs scored with 34 runs in 46 games. He was a second team all-region pick as a freshman, helping Black Hawk to a conference title.

High school: Peters played at Knoxville High School in Knoxville, Illinois.

Personal: Matt was born in Galesburg, Illinois and is the son of Mary and Corky Peters. He is majoring in General Business.
