Earned first collegiate win on April 27 against MTSU when he threw 3.0 innings and matched his career high with five strikeouts... Also posted five strikeouts against rival New Mexico on April 1... His longest outing of the season came in his debut when he tossed 6.0 innings as the starter against St. Thomas on Feb. 17.

Appeared in 20 games and pitched 87 total innings at Ayala High School where he maintained a 2.09 career ERA, including a 1.85 ERA across 30.1 innings as a senior... Managed a 5-3 overall record... Struck out 87 batters in two years at the varsity level... Held opposing batters to a .206 batting average... Started pitching in the middle of his junior year... Also started at shortstop at Ayala HS... Helped the team win a league title
