Redshirt Junior (2014): Barr stepped up as the number one pitcher for the Aggies during the season, leading the team in almost every pitching category. With a 5-3 win-loss record, Barr appeared in 27 games and had a team leading 2.94 ERA. While only starting two games, Barr was the teams go to reliever over the season. In 64.1 innings pitched, Barr gave up 71 hits and 21 earned runs, with 10 more unearned runs. He had 46 strikeouts during the season, and walked 22 batters. His season-high in strikeouts game against Northern Colorado where he pitched 7.1 innings, recording eight strikeouts in the outing. While he allowed 12 hits during the game, Barr only gave up two earned runs and recorded three walks.
Junior (2013): Barr redshirted the 2013 season and did not participate in any games.
Prior to NM State: Barr attended Treasure Valley Community College in Ontario, Ore., in 2011 while playing pitcher and third base. He led his team with seven wins while attaining a 2.15 ERA and was awarded first team east-region relief pitcher and second team All-NWAACC reliever. In 2012, Barr played for Mt. Hood Community College in Gresham, Ore., where his team took second in the NWAACC. He finished with eight wins and a 2.73 ERA and was named second team southern region.
High School: While attending Idaho Falls High School in Idaho Falls, Idaho, Barr played varsity his junior and senior year. He was selected as an all-state first team pitcher his junior year and first-team third baseman as a senior.
Personal: Barr is the son of Scott and Julia Barr and is studying sociology at NM State.
