Junior (2014): Kraft returns for his final year with NM State after a junior season in which he made 20 appearances and a team-leading 14 starts on the mound for the Aggies. Kraft recorded 40 strikeouts on 66.2 innings pitched a season ago, highlighted by a great effort against Oakland on March 1, where he pitched a career-high seven strikeouts. Kraft managed to pick up three or more strikeouts on six different occasions last year, which included a three game span towards the conclusion of the season against Chicago St. twice (May 15, 17) and Texas-Pan American (May 23). He had two games this year where he pitched seven innings, the first coming against UC-Davis (March 15), where he pitched a career high 7.1 innings and the second game coming against Texas-Pan American (May 23), where he pitched seven innings.
Sophomore (2013): Kraft appeared in 12 games for NM State in 2013, including one start, and finished with a 0-1 mark and a 5.40 ERA in 6.2 innings of work. He allowed four earned runs and had five strikeouts on the season. Kraft worked for more than an inning on only two occasions. Versus Seattle U. (May 18), he worked a perfect 1.1 innings, not allowing a base runner while striking out a season-high two batters.
Freshman (2012): Kraft appeared 24 times for the Aggies in his freshman season, which was the third-most appearances by any pitcher on the team, and it also ranked second for most appearances in relief by an Aggie pitcher. He pitched a total of nine innings and struck out nine batters on the season.
High School: Kraft played four years of baseball at Heritage Hall High School in Oklahoma City, Okla., both as a pitcher and outfielder. As a freshman, Kraft received all-city honorable mention and was a first-team all-city player his final three years. He was also an all-state team member his final three years. Kraft was also part of the all-conference team all four years he was in high school.
Personal: Kraft is the son of Alan and Susie Kraft. Kraft is a business major.
