Biography

Junior: Ryan Aguayo was NM State's starting shortstop and second spot hitter for the 2010 season, while being named a second team All-WAC selection and an academic All-WAC selection. During his first year with the Aggies, Aguayo had 58 starts as shortstop and 48 starts in the No. 2 hole of the batting lineup. He totaled 92 total season hits and a hitting streak of nine games with hits.  Aguayo had the most total season runs scored in the WAC with 76 and the most total season assists in the WAC with 210. He was second in the WAC for total season runs scored per game with 1.27 and for total season times at bat with 252. Aguayo had the most multiple hit games for the Aggies with 30 as well as the most multiple RBI games with 23.  He scored six runs against Georgia State (3/14), a career high for Aguayo as an Aggie. Aguayo  had 10 assists against Georgia State (3/13) as well.

Junior College: Aguayo played second base for Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo, Calif. Aguayo helped the Cougars to a Western State Conference championship title during the 2009 season. He earned first team all-southern California accolades as well as all-state honors. He was Cuesta's most valuable player in 2009 and was named WSC's player of the year. While helping the team to a 24-14 record, Aguayo had an on-base percentage of .470 and crossed the plate 56 times.

High School: Aguayo played second base and shortstop for Servite High School in Anaheim, Calif.  He received all-league honors twice and was named the most valuable player in the 2006 Orange County All Star game. Aguayo helped the Friar's to a league championship and an 18-7 record. Aguayo played on the Youth U.S.A. National team for one season and was a drafted by the Las Angeles Dodgers in the 2006 Amateur Draft.

Personal: Aguayo is the son of Peter and Martha Aguayo.
