Biography

Junior: Laing did not play in 2010 for NM State and took a red-shirt season.

Junior College: Laing attended Pratt Community College where he set the homerun record as a sophomore with 19. Laing was named first team all-conference as a first baseman as well as first team all-region. Also in the 2009 season, Laing was runner-up defensive player of the year for junior colleges.

High School: Laing received first team all-state accolades as a junior and senior in Nevada. As a junior, Laing broke the Nevada state record for RBI, homeruns and hits in a single game. He is a three-time letter winner and was also second team all-state first baseman as a sophomore. Also during the 2005 season, Laing helped Spanish Springs HS win the regional title.

Personal: Laing is the son of Edward Laing ad Elizabeth Laing. He has not declared a major.
