Freshman: Patterson red-shirted as a freshman in 2012.

High School: Patterson played three years of high school baseball at Camas High School located in Camas, Wash.  He graduated from Camas in 2011.  As a sophomore and junior Patterson pitched and also played second base for the Papermakers.  During his senior year Patterson concentrated on his pitching.  He pitched a total of 20 innings that season, allowing only 15 hits while striking out 22 batters.  Patterson had one game with eight strikeouts in only five innings and another with seven strikeouts in seven innings. Camas High School won their league championship during Patterson's junior and senior years.  During his junior year they finished second in state.  His senior year the team went 27-1, including a 26-game winning streak, and finished third in state.  Patterson received three letters in baseball and also received one football letter.

Personal: Patterson is the son of Dave and Julie Patterson   He was born in Walnut Creek, Calif., and is majoring in Mechanical Engineering.  During his time off Patterson enjoys bowling and golfing.
