2005 Fall: Vince was one of the most powerful forces on the Aggie offense in the fall as he hit a convincing .528, the highest on the team for batters with 35 or more plate appearances. He stepped to the plate 36 times in the fall and recorded four doubles, two triples and 11 RBI in 19 hits. He also stole nine bases, scored 16 runs and had an on-base percentage of .660 while striking out only one time.
2005 (JUNIOR): Rodden had a standout year for the Aggies playing in 56 of 57 games starting in 54 of those contests while leading the team in on-base percentage (.489), runs scored (65) and stolen bases (26). He finished second on the team in batting average (.359), second in hits (75) and fifth in total bases. On two different outings, he had a season-high four runs scored and tallied a season-high four hits on two occasions. He batted in three runs in two different games and smacked two doubles against Arkanas State on Apr. 23. Against their I-25 rival New Mexico Lobos, Vince tallied a season high seven total bases as the Aggis won the game 10-8. Rodden also finished fourth in NMSU records for singles in a season (64) while tying for eighth in stolen bases (26).
JUNIOR COLLEGE: Vince comes to New Mexico State after two seasons at Johnson County Community College. As a freshman at Johnson County, Rodden hit .389 and led the team with 40 stolen bases in 48 games played. In 144 at-bats, he scored 42 times and drove in 26 runs. In his sophomore season, Vince led the nation in stolen bases with 64 in just 55 games. He was named first team All-Jayhawk Conference, All-Central District and first team All-Region VI after hitting .363 with 70 runs scored.
HIGH SCHOOL: Rodden graduated from Shawnee Mission High School and played baseball for the Raiders. He was named First Team All-Sunflower League as junior and served as team captain his senior year.
PERSONAL: Vince was born in Topeka, Kan. and is the son of Jim and Cathy Rodden. He is majoring in Criminal Justice.
