Biography

Junior College:  Walters played as a pitcher for the LA Harbor College Seahawks.  He helped the Seahawks to a first-place, three-way tie.  They then went on to place fifth in the state championship.  Walters was selected on to the California State Junior College All-Star team as he posted a 4.00 ERA.

 

High School:  Walters attended Narbonne Magnet High School and played baseball for the Gauchos.  In 2004 and 2005 Walters helped the Gauchos become Runners-up for the Marine League Championships.  In 2005, he was named to the first-team All-Marine League for his efforts as an outfielder.  He was also selected onto the South Bay Lions All-Star Game and was awarded as the winning pitcher. He recorded an ERA of 1.40, had a batting average of .380 and a slugging percentage of .537.  He also had six doubles and one triple with 28 hits in 81 at-bats with two strike outs in 41 at-bats.  Walters had five assists in right field with a fielding percentage of .929.

 

Personal:  Walters is the son of Patrick and Lori Barfield and was born in Santa Monica, California.  He is majoring in Computer Science.
