Jones comes to NM State from the University of Delaware where he served as an intern with football operations and as a volunteer assistant coach with the defensive staff during the 2015 season.

Jones played safety for the Blue Hens as a fifth-year senior during the 2014 season where he tallied 39 tackles (15 solo) while starting in nine of 10 games.

Prior to Delaware, Jones played defensive back at Boston College for three seasons from 2010-2013. He saw action in all 12 games for the Eagles as a freshman in limited time, totaling 16 tackles (six solo). As a sophomore, he was named to ESPN’s ACC Top Player to Watch List before suffering a season-ending injury two games into the season.

A native of Wilmington, Delaware, Jones earned a bachelor’s in business management from Boston College in May, 2014.
