Kelly Weese enters his first season as an offensive graduate assistant with the New Mexico State football program in 2020.
Weese arrived at NM State after spending the 2019 season at FCS powerhouse San Diego as an offensive graduate assistant. He assisted in coaching the offensive line and worked with current Aggie offensive line coach Cory White while with the Toreros, who won the Pioneer Football League for the sixth consecutive season in 2019.
Before his time at San Diego, Weese was a recruiting coordinator for Next College Student Athlete (NCSA). He informed high-school student athletes and their families about the college recruiting process, building a strong knowledge base of the NCAA rules and regulations.
The San Diego, Calif., native spent the first five months of 2018 working as a strength and conditioning intern at Notre Dame. He coached Fighting Irish football student-athletes through offseason workouts and in preparation for the NFL Scouting Combine.
Weese began his college career at College of DuPage, where he was a two-year football student-athlete, before transferring to Northern Illinois. He was a two-year walk-on at wide receiver for the Huskies, graduating with a bachelor's degree in kinesiology in 2018.
