New Mexico State University Athletics

Eastern New Mexico:  Desmond Anaya played two seasons at Eastern New Mexico tallying 20 tackles, three forced rumbles, one fumble recovery, and a blocked punt while playing middle linebacker and defensive end.

High School:  Anaya graduated from Goddard High School in Roswell, N.M. in 2008.  In both his junior and senior years, Goddard High was the 4A state runner-ups in New Mexico.  Anaya was named 2nd team All-State as an offensive tackle and middle linebacker in 2007.  Over his high school career he totaled 120 tackles, nine forced fumbles, four interceptions, and six fumble recoveries.

Personal:  Anaya is the son of Raymond Anaya and Lynda Anaya.  He is the cousin of former NM State cornerback Raul Anaya and current University of New Mexico runningback David Anaya.  He is majoring in individualized studies.
