Played in eight games… Made 14 tackles with eight unassisted and six assisted… Had a season-high seven tackles with five unassisted against Louisiana-Lafayette (Nov. 8)… Also recorded 2.0 sacks against Louisiana-Lafayette… Garnered 3.5 tackles for loss… Recovered one fumble at No. 17 LSU (Sept. 27) and blocked one kick against Georgia Southern (Oct. 4).
2013 (Redshirt Sophomore)
Played in 11 games as a defensive lineman… Had 22 tackles, one tackle for loss and a fumble recovery… Recorded first career sack against Idaho (Nov. 30)… Racked up a season-high nine tackles and first career fumble recovery against Rice (Oct. 9).
2012 (Sophomore)
Redshirted while recovering from injury.
2011 (Freshman)
Saw action in 12 games at defensive end… Collected 21 tackles with eight solo efforts and two tackles for loss… Had a career-high four tackles against UTEP (Sept. 17) and matched that against San Jose State (Sept. 24)… Also grabbed first career tackle for loss against UTEP… Recorded three tackles against both Fresno State (Nov. 12) and BYU (Nov. 19).
Prep
Played defensive line for Garden Grove HS for three seasons… As a senior, helped team to a 13-1 record and the Garden Grove League Championship… Was named First Team All-Garden Grove and First Team All-CIF Southern Division… Tallied 62 tackles and 15 sacks as a senior… Amassed 17 quarterback hurries, five pass break-ups, eight tackles for loss, three forced fumbles and a fumble recovery… Received the Kevin Tellas Award for leadership, work ethic, character and academic accomplishments.
