High School
Kubinski joined the Aggies after a four-year career at La Cueva High School in Albuquerque, N.M. In his senior season, he led the Bears to a district championship and a state runner-up finish along with a 25-6 record. He earned honorable mention all-district team honors in 2012. In his junior campaign, Kubinski helped La Cueva to the state quarterfinals and 18-11 overall record. In 2009-10, Kubinski and the Bears won the district title and finished with an 18-2 record. As a freshman, Kubinski and the Bears finished the season with a 14-6 record.
