Biography
2007-08 (Redshirt Sophomore): In his first season in the Crimson and White, Chris Cole made 25 appearances and started in seven games. He ranked third on the team in assists with 72 and he had 15 multiple-assist games. Cole averaged 2.0 points and 1.6 rebounds per contest after he shot 33.3 from the field and 81.8 percent from the free-throw line. Defensively, Cole contributed 22 steals. In his first-ever rivalry game as an Aggie, Cole posted five assists at UTEP (Nov. 27). Against New Mexico (Dec. 4), he had a career-high 11 points along with four steals and three assists. Cole followed that performance with nine points, three assists and a 5-for-6 showing from the charity strip against UTEP (Dec. 8). In the final rivalry game of the season at New Mexico (Dec. 19), Cole dished a career-high nine assists in 25 minutes of action. He was extremely productive in the four rivalry games with 5.0 assists per contest. Cole had a five-game span with at least three assists in a game in WAC play, which spanned from Fresno State (Jan. 5) to Nevada (Jan. 24).
2006-07 (Sophomore): Cole redshirted the 2006-07 season after transferring from Hartford.
2005-06 (Freshman): Cole played in 28 games and made 21 starts as a guard for Hartford as a freshman. He finished the year averaging 3.6 points, 2.8 assists and 2.0 rebounds per game. Cole led the team in assists with 78 and dished out a career-high six assists in three games. Cole had five or more assists in seven contests and scored a career-high nine points in three games. He made his first career start against Yale (Dec. 8) and finished with six points and six assists. He posted his second nine-point game versus Vermont (Jan. 12). In his second meeting with Vermont (Feb. 2), Cole again dropped in nine points while he dished out six assists.
High School: Cole played four years of varsity basketball at National Christian Academy before attending Hartford. Cole averaged 15.6 points, 7.5 assists 4.4 rebounds and 2.1 steals per game in his senior season. He was the youngest player to ever make and play in the all-star game at the Five-Star Basketball Camp. Cole was also the most valuable player of the all-star game at the Eastern Invitational.
Personal: Cole is the son of Rhonda and Christian Cole, Jr. He is undecided on a major.
