New Mexico State University Athletics

2007-08 (Junior): After missing the 2006-07 season with an injury, Jalen Dominguez returned to the court and played in eight games. He made his first appearance of the year against LeMoyne-Owen (Nov. 18) and scored three points and collected a steal.  Dominguez recorded his first assist of the season against Prairie View A&M (Dec. 11).  He also appeared in three WAC games against Utah State (Jan. 26), Idaho (Feb. 6) and Hawai’i (March 8). 

2005-06 (Sophomore): In his second season with the Aggies, Dominguez appearance in three games. His best performance of the year was a four-point and two-steal showing against Western New Mexico (Nov. 11). Dominguez also played in WAC games at Nevada (Feb. 9) and against Idaho (Feb. 25).

2004-05 (Freshman): In his first campaign with the Aggies, Dominguez played in seven games. Against Midwestern State (Nov. 27), he came off the bench to score two points in a season-high eight minutes of action. At I-10 rival UTEP (Dec. 18), Dominguez played two minutes coming off the bench. In Sun Belt Conference play, Dominguez played at North Texas (Feb. 5) against Denver (Feb. 29) and at Arkansas State (Feb. 26). He also played in the season finale against Texas-Pan American (March 1).

High School: As a senior, Dominguez averaged 20 points, seven rebounds and four steals at Albuquerque High School in Albuquerque, N.M. He earned all-district and all-city honors and he was selected to play in the New Mexico State North/South-East/West All-Star Game. He was named to the Albuquerque City Tournament All-Tournament team and was a captain for Albuquerque. In addition to his play on the court, Dominguez was a four-year member of the Albuquerque soccer team. He was the team captain as a senior and earned all-district, all-city, and all-state honors. Dominguez was also named to the Albuquerque City Soccer Tournament All-Tournament team.

Personal: Dominguez was born in Albuquerque, N.M., and is the son of Dr. Meave and Dr. Jerry Dominguez, Ph.D. He is majoring in management.
