Biography

2013-14 (Junior)
Barry appeared in nine games and averaged 6.1 points per contest before a season-ending injury. He scored a season-high 18 points against Hawaii (Nov.12) and helped out with 10 points against Western Michigan (Nov. 8).

2012-13 (Sophomore)
Barry played in 27 games for the Aggies in 2012-13. He averaged 4.0 points and 2.6 rebounds per game and shot 42.2 percent from the field (38-of-90). Barry scored a career-high 15 points on a 6-of-9 shooting performance in a 73-69 loss at Utah State (Feb. 16) that snapped NM State’s 12-game winning streak. Barry posted two other double-digit scoring performances as a sophomore. In the 86-72 win at Texas State (Jan. 31), Barry had 10 points and six rebounds in a career-high 28 minutes of action. He also scored 11 points on 5-of-7 shooting in the 74-65 win over Texas State in the WAC Tournament semifinals (March 15), which helped propel the Aggies to back-to-back conference tournament titles. In the WAC Tournament Championship game (March 16), Barry contributed four points and a career-high eight rebounds in the 64-55 win over UT Arlington. Barry also had six points and five rebounds in the 64-44 loss to No. 13 Saint Louis in the NCAA Tournament.

2011-12 (Freshman)
In his freshman season, Barry made an appearance in 19 games. He averaged 2.3 points per game. In his Aggie debut, Barry recorded a season-high seven points and four rebounds in the 92-65 win over Western New Mexico (Dec. 14). He was 1-of-2 from the 3-point line and 4-of-4 at the free-throw line against the Mustangs. In a season-high 25 minutes of action in the 100-68 rout of Northern New Mexico (Feb. 14), Barry scored seven points, grabbed four rebounds, dished three steals, blocked two shots and recorded a steal.

High School
Barry joined the Aggies after graduating from Del Oro High School in Loomis, Calif. In the summer of 2010, Barry played for the YBA Dawgs AAU team in Roseville, Calif., and averaged 24 points, 13 rebounds and six assists. As a junior, he played for American Heritage in Miami, Fla., and helped the team to the district title match. Barry averaged 15 points and 10 rebounds in 2008-09. Prior to moving to the U.S., Barry led Chalon-sur-Soane to the championship game and was named MVP. As a member of the Villemamble squad, he led the team to two state titles in 2006-07 and 2005-06. He also helped Bondy to the state championship in 2004-05.

Personal
Barry is the son of Alimou and Sylvie Barry and was born in Tremblay-en-France. He is majoring in sociology.
