2009-10 (Senior)
In his senior season with the Aggies, Tray Britt made 12 appearances for the Crimson and White. At New Mexico (Dec. 5), he set career-high marks in minutes played (nine), field goals made and attempts (2-for-3) and points scored (five). Britt also sank his first career 3-point shot against the Lobos at The Pit. In his next appearance, Britt recorded a personal-best showing at the free-throw line going 3-for-4 in the historic Pauley Pavilion at UCLA (Dec. 15). He also made an appearance in the WAC Tournament Quarterfinal win over San Jose State, 90-69, (March 11) in Reno, Nev., and posted his lone assist of the year en route to the Aggies’ second WAC Tournament crown.
2008-09 (Junior)
As a junior, Britt played in five games for the Aggies. His first appearance was in the season opener against UC Riverside (Nov. 15). Britt scored two points and recorded a steal against the Highlanders in four minutes of action. Against Pepperdine (Nov. 21), he grabbed his first rebound and collected his first assist of the year. In the non-conference slate, Britt appeared at Long Beach State (Nov. 30) and versus Loyola Marymount (Dec. 28). He also played in the regular season finale at Hawai’i (March 7).
2007-08 (Sophomore)
In his second season at NM State, Britt appeared in seven games for the Crimson and White. Against LeMoyne-Owen (Nov. 18), Britt made his first appearance of the year and played a career-high six minutes. He also grabbed a career-high three rebounds and recorded an assist against the Magicians. In the O’Reilly ESPNU BracketBuster game against Long Beach State (Feb. 23), Britt scored two points and had a rebound. When the Aggies concluded the regular season against Hawai’i (March 8), he recorded his first career block in the 106-71 victory.
2006-07 (Freshman)
Britt played in nine games for the Aggies as a freshman. He made his first appearance in an NM State uniform in the inaugural Lou Henson Classic versus San Francisco (Dec. 2). Britt scored three points and grabbed a rebound in the win over New Mexico (Dec. 5). In his first WAC showing, Britt had two points and two rebounds against Idaho (Jan. 24). He also made an appearance at Fresno State (Feb. 10) and in both Louisiana Tech games (March 1 and 8).
High School
As a senior at Hogan High School in Vallejo, Calif., Britt averaged 19 points, four rebounds and two assists for the Spartans. He was an honorable mention All-Solano County Athletic Conference and all-region selection. In 2004, Britt directed the Spartans to a runner-up finish in the conference under first-year head coach Foster Hicks. Britt was also a wide receiver and defensive back for the Spartans.
Personal
Britt was born in Richmond, Calif., and is the son of Lavon Britt and Tracey Hannah. He is pursuing a degree in business management.
