Biography
2015-16: Saw action in 29 games during her junior campaign and averaged 9.7 points – good for fourth on the team…her 5.7 rebounds led all players and recorded a 41 blocks on the year, which was good for sixth all-time on the single-season list…was named All-WAC Preseason Player of the Year and selected preseason first-teamer by both the coaches and media... helped guide NM State to its second-straight regular-season, tournament championship and NCAA appearance…finished the season tied for third on the team with 9.9 points per game and led the Aggies with 6.0 rebounds per game…led team with .481 shooting-percentage and third in the WAC…recorded back-to-back doubles versus Northwestern State (11/27) and Northern Arizona (11/28) to help NM State go undefeated at the Hotel Encanto Thanksgiving Classic…was named WAC Player of the Week on Nov. 30 for her efforts that weekend…also netted a career-high 27 points against Northwestern State on 12-of-18 shooting…recorded her third double-double of the season at San Jose State (12/17) with 12 points and 10 boards…reached double-figures in three-straight contests against Seattle U (1/21), CSU Bakersfield (1/23) and at UT Rio Grande Valley (1/30)...scored 12 points in NM State’s comeback victory at Utah Valley (2/6).
2014-15: Had a breakout sophomore season that culminated in her winning WAC Player of the Year and WAC Tournament MVP…also garnered First-Team All-WAC and Academic All-WAC honors…helped guide the Aggies to their first conference title, conference tournament title and NCAA appearance since 1988…led NM State to a 22-8 overall record and 13-1 mark in conference play while starting in all 30 games…was second on the team with 13.7 points per game and led all players with 7.9 boards per game…nearly averaged a double-double in conference play, scoring 17.5 points per game and grabbing 9.7 boards per game…picked up her third-career double-double versus Florida Atlantic (12/20), scoring 12 points and grabbing 11 rebounds…recorded back-to-back 20-point games against UMKC (1/10) and Bakersfield (1/15), respectively, including a then career-high 25 points against the ‘Runners…tied her career-high 25 points against UT-Pan American (1/31), now known as UTRGV, to go with her 15 rebounds on 9-of-14 shooting…scored 19 points and 17, respectively, against Seattle U (3/13) and UTPA (3/14) in the WAC Tournament…scored 15 points on 6-of-11 shooting to go with three boards and a steal against No. 11 Maryland (3/21) in the NCAA Tournament.
2013-14: Was second amongst freshman in scoring with 6.4 points per game and pulled down the second-most rebounds with 181 (5.8 per game)…also finished the season with 20 steals, 20 blocks and 15 assists…made her first-career start at UTEP (11/12), picking up two steals with a block and assist…recorded her first collegiate points against Boise State (11/14), posting 10 points on 4-of-5 shooting…notched her first-career double-double at home versus Milwaukee with 15 points and 10 boards on 5-of-7 shooting, including a 3-of-4 effort from beyond the arc…recorded her second-career double-double when she dropped a season-high 16 points and 10 boards to go with two blocks and two steals in the conference opener against GCU (1/4)…tied her season high of 16 points at Utah Valley (2/1) on 8-of-12 shooting and five rebounds.
High School: Was a three-year letter winner at Harker Heights High School…led the Knights to their second-straight regional quarterfinals appearance in the state playoffs with a 35-2 overall record and district title (13-1) as a junior…averaged 11.9 points and 5.1 boards to go with 1.0 assists and 1.0 blocks per game…she had a career-high 27 points against Lee High School in the second-to-last game of the regular-season…guided HHHS to the regional quarterfinals and finished the season with a 27-11 overall mark and 11-4 record in district play – good for second place…averaged 9.5 points and 3.4 boards during her sophomore campaign…Harker Heights High School went 15-18 during her freshman season as she averaged 4.1 points and 3.4 rebounds.
Personal: Daughter of Velda and Elvin Freeman…has and older sister, Alicia, and a younger brother Lamarcus…majoring in electrical and computer engineering with a minor in mathematics.
