Biography
2005-06: Joy appeared in five games in her first season in Crimson and White, getting the start at Texas-San Antonio on November 26, scoring four points and grabbing seven rebounds in that contest. She averaged 3.0 points and 1.8 rebounds in those five games and tallied a career-high six points against Nevada in the Pan American Center on February 11.
Western New Mexico: Joy played in 24 games in 2004-05 for the Mustangs, starting 19 of them, and averaged 6.3 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game. She also recorded 27 assists and 14 blocked shots. Joy was in the starting lineup for the Mustangs against the Aggies last November 30, recording four rebounds and a steal in 13 minutes as NMSU won 74-59. She appeared in 18 games in a reserve role as a freshman.
High School: A Las Cruces native, Joy graduated from Mayfield H.S. in 2003.
Personal: Joy was born in Las Cruces, N.M., and is the daughter of Gail Joy. She is working toward a degree in Athletic Training.
