Biography

2004-05: Foy made 13 appearances as a sophomore, averaging 0.9 points and 0.8 rebounds per game. Against Middle Tennessee on January 29, Foy managed to set season highs with three points and two offensive rebounds despite playing just two minutes. Two nights before at Western Kentucky, Foy tallied two points and two rebounds in 11 minutes.

2003-04 (Freshman):  Foy played in 22 games during the 2003-04 campaign, averaging 0.9 points and 1.7 boards per game.  Foy's best game of the year came at New Mexico, where she grabbed five boards and scored six points, going 6-of-8 from the charity stripe.  She finished the season shooting .706 (12-of-17) from the free throw line, good for fourth on the team.  She grabbed a career-high six boards, including four offensive rebounds, at South Alabama.  She finished the season with five or more rebounds on four occasions.

 

High School:  Foy is a graduate of Victoria High School in Victoria, Texas., where she played for head coach  Matt Garrett.  She helped MHS to four district championships and a semifinal berth in the regional championships her senior year while helping the team set a national record for top-10 team free throw percentage.  She earned the Newcomer of the Year award as a freshman while earning second-team all-district honors.

 

Personal:  Elizabeth Ashley Foy was born on September 5, 1984, in Tyler, Texas, and is the daughter of Craig and Sharon Foy.  She is majoring in accounting and business management.
