Biography
This season: Nicole should see considerable time at the forward position for the Aggies.
2002-03 (Junior): Black appeared in 23 games while starting six games for the Aggies in 2002-03 after transfering from Dodge City Community College. She averaged 2.7 points and 3.2 rebounds per game and she finished in the top-five on the team in free-throw percentage (.727) and blocked shots (8). She led the Aggies in rebounding three times in the first five games of the season. She recorded a career-high in rebounds (9) three times, coming against Long Beach State, Wichita State and UTEP. She recorded a career-high three blocked shots against UTEP and a career-high three steals against Wichita State.
Dodge City Community College: Nicole averaged 16.0 points, 9.6 rebounds per game as a freshman at Dodge City. She suffered a set back her sophomore season after tearing her ACL in January. Before her injury, Black was averaging 12.8 points and 8.5 rebounds per game.
High School: Nicole attended Jeff Davis High School in Houston, Texas where she achieved district MVP honors.
Personal: Nicole S. Black was born in Houston, Texas and is the daughter of Betty Sawyer. She is majoring in Criminal Justice.
