Biography

2009 (Freshman): As a freshman, Heiman started in 16 matches. Her first career start at Colorado State-Pueblo (Sept. 4) was NM State’s first win in school history, 2-1. In 2009, Heiman ranked sixth on the team in shots (10) and tied for sixth in goals (one) and shots on goal (five) while she was seventh in points (two). In a 3-1 loss at Northern Arizona (Sept. 12), Heiman scored her first career goal.

 

High School/Club: Heiman was a midfielder from The Colony High School in The Colony, Texas. In 2009, she directed the Cougars to a 7-3-3 record and the state championship match, which ended in double overtime and shootouts. Individually as a senior, she was a first team 4A All-District selection and team most valuable player. Heiman also led The Colony in scoring as a senior. She was a three-time, second team all-district honoree as a freshman, sophomore and junior. Heiman led the Cougars to a state championship her sophomore season with a 7-3 record. As a junior, she guided The Colony to a district championship after tallying a record of 9-1. She also was named the rookie of the year during her freshman year. 

 

Personal: Born in Dallas, Texas, Heiman is the daughter of David Heiman and Karen Brennan. Her older sister, Lauren, is a goal keeper at NM State. Heiman is majoring in environmental engineering.
