Biography

2012 (Senior): As a senior, Irwin started in 18 matches in 2012. She set a program record with 76 consecutive games started in her Aggie career. Irwin led the Aggies to four shutouts in her senior campaign against Southern Utah (Sept. 12), Montana (Sept. 14), Utah State (Sept. 28) and CSU Bakersfield (Oct. 14). She recorded a team-high 1,708 minutes played in 2012. Irwin earned Academic All-WAC honors for the third consecutive season.

2011 (Junior): In her junior season, Irwin started in all 21 matches for the Crimson and White. She played 1,913 minutes in 2011 and has 58 consecutive games started for the Aggies. As a member of the back line, Irwin directed NM State to a program-record seven shutouts in 2011. She had one goal, five shots, two shots on goal and .400 shots on goal percentage as a junior. Irwin scored the second goal of her career in the 2-0 win over Houston Baptist (Aug. 28) on a header from a corner kick. For the second straight year, she earned Academic All-WAC honors.

2010 (Sophomore): For the second consecutive season, Irwin started in all 18 matches for the Aggies. She played a team-high 1,693 minutes in her sophomore campaign. As an anchor in the back row, Irwin helped NM State collect four shutouts for the second straight season. She posted a pair of shots and one shot on goal in 2010. In addition, Irwin was named to the Academic All-WAC team.

2009 (Freshman): Irwin started in all 19 matches as a freshman. Along with defender Elise Nordin, the duo played every minute of the 2009 season, 1,809. Irwin helped NM State post four shutouts. She recorded one score, which was the game-winning goal against Northwestern State, 2-1 (Sept. 27). The Aggies won its first tournament title, Lamar Soccer Classic, with the goal she scored in the 82nd minute off a corner kick. Irwin posted three shots and they were all on goal in NM State's inaugural season. She earned Academic All-WAC Freshman/Transfer team honors.

High School/Club: Irwin was a defender at Capital High School in Boise, Idaho. She led the Eagles to the state championship match and was selected to play in the 5A Southern Idaho Conference All-Star game as a junior. Irwin was a three-time, defensive first team 5A All-State honoree. As a sophomore, she guided Capital to a third-place finish at state. In 2007, Irwin led the Eagles to 17 shutouts and was named Capital's defensive most valuable player for her efforts. She was also a member of the Les Bois Soccer Association U18 squad.

Personal: Irwin is the daughter of Brent and Nicole Irwin, and she was born in Boise, Idaho. Irwin is pursuing a degree in community health.
