2013 (Junior): Smith played in 20 games and started 17 matches for the Aggies. Smith ended the season with three assists and one goal giving her a total of five points. Smith scored her only goal of the year in a 2-1 win over UMKC (9/20). Smith had 27 shots, eight on goal. She had her first assist of the season in the Aggies 1-0 win over LIU Brooklyn with the other two coming during conference play. She had a season-high four shots at Northern Colorado (9/13) with three shots on goal against UMKC (9/20).
2012 (Sophomore): As a sophomore, Smith played in 16 games. She recorded her first career start at Louisiana Tech (Oct 7). Smith scored her first career goal, which was the game-winning goal, in the 1-0 victory over Southern Utah (Sept. 2). The score was Smith's lone shot on goal of the season. In the season finale at Idaho (Oct. 28), Smith fired two shots, which is a career-best mark in a match. She earned Academic All-WAC honors.
2011 (Freshman): In her first season in Las Cruces, Smith made an appearance in four matches. In her Aggie debut, she played a season-high 42 minutes in the 7-0 win over Embry-Riddle (Sept. 23). Smith also saw action against New Mexico (Sept. 25), at Utah State (Oct. 7) and in the WAC Tournament Semifinal match at Fresno State (Nov. 4).
High School/Club: Smith joined the Aggies after a four-year career at Hobbs High School in Hobbs, N.M. As a defender, she led the Lady Eagles to district championships as a sophomore and freshman. In her junior and senior campaigns, Smith guided Hobbs to second-placed finishes in the district. She was an all-district selection in 2009 and 2010. As a junior, Smith was a second team all-state honoree.
Personal: Smith is the daughter of Doug and Alana Smith and was born in Hobbs, N.M. She is majoring in kinesiology.
