Louis joined the Aggies' staff in November of 2024. The Fort Worth, Texas, native comes to Las Cruces after spending his time studying at Western New Mexico University in Silver City, N.M.
He began his collegiate career as an athlete himself, participating in track and field/cross country for Eastern New Mexico University from 2016-2020. Before college, he was named an All-District Selection twice in cross country for Birdville High School in North Richland Hills, Texas. While competing at ENMU, Louis was also appointed as a representative for track on the Student Athletic Advisory Committee and was elected President of the committee from 2018-2020. At that moment, the ENMU alumn helped provide insight on the student-athlete experience and offered input on DII rules, updated regulations, and policies that effect student athletes' lives on campus.
During his four year stint with Greyhound athletics, Louis found a spot on ENMU's Athletic Communications team, serving as a photography/videography intern under Ryan Shumaker, who currently oversees UT Tyler's Athletic Communication department as their head Sports Information Director.
He received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design and graduated with his undergrad degree in the Fall of 2020.
After spending some time out of college sports, he was later picked up by Western New Mexico University Athletics as a Communications Graduate Assistant, acquiring his experience in the field as he performed SID duties. While working for Scott Noble's athletic program (Former WNMU Executive Athletic Director), he also voluntarily assisted with WNMU's S.A.A.C. Commitee as an Assistant Liaison.
He finished his Master's Degree in the Fall of 2024, graduating with a 3.6 GPA in Interdisciplinary Studies with concentrations in Art, Sociology, and Business Administration. Louis now assists as a Sports Information Director for the NM State's soccer team and women's basketball team.
