2010 (Sophomore): Novella played in 14 matches and stared in one game for the Aggies in 2010. She had one assist and two shots as a sophomore. Novella recorded her first assist of the season in the 8-0 win over Alabama A&M (Sept. 17). For her success in the classroom, she was named to the Academic All-WAC team.

2009 (Freshman): In her freshman campaign, Novella played in 17 matches with three contests started. She ranked second on the team with a pair of assists. Novella recorded her first career assist on the game-winning goal with two minutes remaining in regulation in a 2-1 win at Lamar (Sept. 25). In her first career start, Novella posted her second assist on a corner kick to lift the Aggies to a 1-0 overtime win over Boise State (Oct. 2) in NM State’s first WAC match.

High School: Novella was a midfielder from Capistrano Valley High School in Mission Viejo, Calif., where she earned four soccer letters. Novella led the Cougars to a fourth-place South Coast League finish her freshman year, a fifth-place league finish her sophomore season and a third-place finish her junior year. She led the team to an appearance at the California League Federation State Tournament in 2009. Novella also earned honorable mention SCL recognition. In addition to her high school experience, she also competes for the SoCal Blues club team.

Personal: Novella was born in Tustin, Calif., to Anthony and Quincie Novella. She is majoring in psychology.
