2012 (JUNIOR): Brown played in 112 sets in 2012 and recorded 665 assists. She tallied 165 digs, 17 service aces and 13 kills. In conference play, Brown made 361 assists and 110 digs. Brown totaled 80 assists (highest for the Aggies in the tournament) and five service aces in the WAC Tournament.
Brown led the Aggies in assists in 2012 with 5.94 per game and also made the most assists for NM State in the 2012 season on two separate occasions. The first was against North Dakota State (Aug. 25), followed by the game versus Idaho (Nov. 21) to help the Aggies clinch the WAC Tournament Championship. Brown made three services in the game against North Dakota State and 13 digs and 18 assists to record a double-double at Texas State, Nov. 8.
Prior to NM State: Brown played two seasons of volleyball at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Va. She found success as a freshman as she was named to the 2010 Colonial Athletic Conference All-Rookie Team as she averaged a team-best 6.46 assists per set and handed out 40-plus assits three times, including a career-high 44-assists against Colgate on Sept. 3, 2010. Brown followed her successful rookie season at VCU playing in only 13 sets during the 2011 season. She posted 59 assists, 23 digs, seven kills and two service aces as a sophomore.
High School: Prior to playing at VCU, Brown played at Bishop Verot High School under coach Wynn DePasquale and earned AVCA All-America Honorable Mention honors following her senior season. She led the Vikings to a 49-1 record in her final two seasons and handed out 715 assists as a senior, while leading the team to a 27-1 record. She was named the District 3A Player of the Year and was named to the first team all-area team as well as earning the MVP award for her school. Brown was also selected to the USAV junior national team for the summers of 2009 and 2010 to compete at the High Performance Championships in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.. and Wisconsin, respectively. In 2009, Brown led her team to win the High Performance Championship and was selected to the all-tournament team as the "Best Setter." Brown also had the opportunity to train with the 2011 national team at the Olympic Training Center. She also played one year of basketball in high school.
Personal: Brown is a native of Fort Myers, Fla., and is the daughter of Robert and Leslie Brown. Her father played basketball at Central Florida University.
