Biography

HIGH SCHOOL: Mansfield comes to NM State from Pleasant Valley High School in Chico, Calif. As a Viking, she participated in volleyball, softball and basketball. Mansfield was named to the all-league team and first team all-section in volleyball, was the team most valuable player during her junior and senior years. She was also named Under Armour Player of the Week in 2010-11. Mansfield led her team to the league and section championships two years in a row during her junior and senior seasons. During the 2010-11 season she had 684 kills (No. 1 in California), 6.3 kills/game (No. 3 in California), 57 aces, 362 digs, and 35 blocks. In basketball, she was named to the all-league team and first team all-section and was team most valuable player her senior year. In softball, she was named to the all-league team, first team all-section and third team all-state. According to head coach Mike Jordan, Mansfield is a tall, physical outside hitter that can play the left or right side. He mentioned that she hits the ball well out of the back row and can compete for playing time right away.

PERSONAL: Mansfield is the daughter of Kevin and Marv Mansfield and was born in Chico, Calif.  She is currently undecided on a major.
