2006 (JUNIOR):  Kim Oguh continued to dominate as a middle hitter for the Aggies in 2006.  Oguh was an AVCA All-American (Honorable Mention) for the second-consecutive season making her the first Aggie to earn multiple national honors.  She also is a two-time AVCA All-West Region, First Team All-WAC and WAC All-Tournament Team selection following the 2006 campaign.  Oguh started in all 37 matches of the season and she led the team in total blocks (175) and blocks per game (1.39).  In the conference rankings, she was third in blocks.  Offensively, Oguh was a force for the Aggies as she ranked second on the squad in hitting percentage (.377) and third in kills (374) and kills per game (2.97).  Her hitting percentage was also second in the WAC only behind fellow Aggie Amber Simpson.  Oguh has already left her mark in the NMSU record book in only three seasons.  In 2006, Oguh was third in the NMSU’s single-season list for hitting percentage, total blocks, block assists (161) and fourth in blocks per game.  Currently, she ranks third in career hitting percentage (.340), fifth in career block assists (285), tied for fifth in career blocks per game (1.16) and eighth in career total blocks (322). Oguh was a consistent offensive presence in 2006 as she had double-digit kill performances in 22 matches.  Her hitting percentage was off the charts when she hit over .500 in 11 matches.  Oguh started her junior year strong with 10 kills, a .471 hitting percentage and four blocks against Eastern Michigan (8/25) in the UTEP/Sun Bowl Invitational.  In NMSU’s next two matches of the tournament, she had 10 kills along with nine blocks versus Sacramento State (8/25) and 11 kills against Texas Tech (8/26).  Oguh recorded a season-high and a team-high 16 kills against San Diego (9/8) in a five-game win in the Hilton Las Cruces Classic.  She followed that performance with a .900 hitting percentage and nine kills versus Akron (9/9) in the tournament finale.  Oguh set a NMSU single-match record for hitting percentage in three-games and she was named to the all-tournament team.  She had an eight-match streak of double-figure kills that spanned from South Dakota State (9/15) to Louisiana Tech (10/6).  In the second match of the Jackrabbit Invitational versus tournament host South Dakota State, Oguh had 12 kills, which tied for a match-high, and a .500 hitting percentage.  She also tallied 12 kills and five blocks against North Dakota State in the tournament finale (9/16).  In the first four WAC contests, Oguh averaged 10.25 kills and 4.25 blocks per match against Idaho (9/21), Boise State (9/23), Utah State (9/28) and Nevada (9/30).  Oguh had a commanding performance in the second meeting of the year with UTEP (10/4) when she posted a double-double consisting of 13 kills and a season-high 10 blocks in the four-game win.  At Louisiana Tech (10/6), Oguh continued her solid play and recorded a .652 hitting percentage, five blocks and tied her season-high for kills with 16.  The next week Oguh guided the Aggies with 12 kills to an upset of No. 11 Hawai’i (10/13).  The El Paso, Texas product continued to be a force in the middle and tallied double-figures in six of the Aggies final 10 matches of the season.  Oguh posted double-digit kill performances in all three matches of the WAC Tournament in Reno, Nev.  In the quarterfinal match against Boise State (11/22), Oguh recorded 13 kills and a match-high eight blocks.  Versus Idaho (11/23), she had 10 kills and another match-high eight blocks.  Oguh collected a team-high 14 kills in NMSU’s first-ever appearance in the WAC Championship match against No. 12 Hawai’i (11/24).
