JUNIOR (2012): Alexander played in 117 of 124 sets for NM State during her first season as an Aggie. She finished the season ranking second on the team in hitting percentage (.233), fourth in kills (221), kills/set (1.89), points (262), points/set (2.24) and fifth in total blocks (58). Alexander had a personal season-high 14 kills against Northwestern (Sept. 01) and a season-high seven blocks versus UT-Arlington (Sept. 22). Alexander also had 73 digs and 10 service aces on the season. She was also named to the all-tournament team at the Northern Illinois tournament early in the season.
Alexander returned home to San Antonio, along with the rest of the Aggie squad, to play in the WAC Tournament Championship. With her home crowd behind her, Alexander went on to finish the tournament with 27 kills, nine blocks and a team-leading .393 hitting percentage in three games en route to helping NM State to the tournament crown.
SOPHOMORE (2011): Alexander played volleyball for Blinn College, a junior college located in Brenham, Texas, in 2011. She helped the Buccaneers to a perfect 38-0 season and a National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) volleyball national championship. Alexander finished the season with 254 kills and 33 service aces. Her 123 total blocks placed her in the top 20 in blocks nationally. After the season Alexander was named to the all-region team and after the NJCAA championships she was named to the NJCAA All-Tournament team.
FRESHMAN (2010): After high school Alexander played volleyball for Texas State University located in San Marcos, Texas. As a freshman, she finished third in kills for the Bobcats with 204, was tied for the team lead in service aces with 24 and also accumulated 41 blocks on the season. Alexander scored her first collegiate double-double in the match against Texas Tech on Sep. 4. She finished the match with 15 kills and 14 digs. At the end of the season Alexander was named to the Southland Conference All-Academic team.
HIGH SCHOOL: Alexander graduated from Ronald Reagan High School located in San Antonio, Texas, in 2010. She played volleyball for the Rattlers her final three years of high school. The Rattlers won their district championship during all three of those years while amassing an incredible 131-13 total record. During Alexander's senior year the Rattlers were ranked 19th nationally. That same year Alexander was listed as one of the top 80 prep volleyball players in the United States, received Under Armour All-American Honorable Mention recognition and was one of prep volleyball's 150 Senior Aces. She was a Texas 5A All-State player both her junior and senior years. Alexander was also named Most Outstanding Hitter at the Nike Pearland Classic both in 2008 and 2009. Those two years also saw her being named to the San Antonio Super Team and first-team all-district. As a sophomore in 2008, her first year playing high school volleyball, Alexander was named the San Antonio Newcomer of the Year. As a junior she finished with 402 kills, 128 service aces and 96 blocks. Her final year of high school Alexander finished with 412 kills, 98 service aces and 82 blocks.
PERSONAL: Alexander is the daughter of Jeff and Imelda Alexander. She was born in Austin, Texas, on July 31, 1992. She enjoys photography during her free time and hopes to continue playing or coaching volleyball. She is majoring in secondary education.
