LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The New Mexico State Aggies look to make it two straight wins on Wednesday as they host UTEP in the latest edition of The Battle of I-10 rivalry.

Kickoff between the Aggies and Miners is at 4 p.m. at the at the NM State Soccer Athletic Complex

The Aggies (1-5) are coming off Sunday's thrilling 4-3 victory over Lamar, where NM State collected three goals in the last nine minutes.

UTEP (3-3) lost to Lamar 3-2 last Friday, but are coming off a 3-0 win over Weber State on Sunday.

"This is a big rivalry game," said NM State head coach
Freddy Delgado. "You just throw out the records and the conferences. It's just about the two programs."

The Aggies are paced by the leading scorer in the Western Athletic Conference, freshman
Aileen Galicia of Indio, Calif./LaQuinta. Galicia has four goals and an assist on the season for nine points. Her total goals, points and points per game (1.5) are all are tops in the WAC.

The Miners are led by senior Angela Cutaia, who has three goals and an assist for seven points in six games.

"I'm expecting UTEP to pressure us," said Delgado. "We're a young group, but we've played folks tough as well.

"Our fans have been great this year, and we can certainly use them Wednesday."

Fans who have already purchased a ticket for Saturday's Aggie football game against Georgia State will be admitted free for the UTEP soccer game and Thursday's volleyball match with Oklahoma by showing their ticket for Saturday.
