- This win over the Vandals moved the Aggies win streak at home over Idaho to four games.
- NM State set a game-high for the program with 11 sacks. This tops the previous high of eight set against Angelo State (Sept. 26, 1987).
- With 11 sacks against the Vandals, NM State set a new season-high for sacks with 35. The previous high was 31 for the team in 1999.
- Leon McQuaker recorded his first career interception as an Aggie.

AN NM STATE WIN WOULD…
- Be the first win for NM State over South Alabama.
- Make the Aggies bowl eligible for the first time since 2002.

- Be the first time NM State has won back-to-back games since 2015.

THE A-TRAIN
This past Saturday, Nov. 25, when NM State hosted Idaho the Aggie defense set a few new records with the pass rush. The defensive front recorded a program-high 11 sacks, topping the previous high of eight set versus Angelo State in 1987.

With the 11 sacks the team also now has a season total of 35 which is a new single-season record at NM State with the previous record being 31 set in 1999.

 AGAINST ALL ODDS
The Aggies are one of 10 teams out of the 130 programs playing in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) that plays less than six games at home. Of those 10, just NM State, Navy, ULM and UTEP also have a schedule with zero Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) opponents.

Despite the tough schedule in 2017, New Mexico State joins just Navy as the only teams with those hurdles to overcome who are still playing for the opportunity to make a postseason bowl.

 PLAYER OF THE WEEK
After leading a record-setting defensive front against Idaho on Saturday, NM State defensive end Cedric Wilcots II earned player of the week honors.

Wilcots recorded a career-high six tackles with 3.5 sacks in the team's win over the Vandals. The sophomore's total led the Aggies to a program-high 11 sacks in the contest and set a new single-season record for sacks with 35.

With the help of Wilcots, the NM State defense held Idaho to the lowest opponent point total this season in the 17-10 victory. The Aggies also kept the Vandals to just 41 rushing yards which is the fewest yards allowed since ULM ran for 64 back on Dec. 5, 2015.

 CHANGE THE RECORD
Entering week 14, NM State senior running back Larry Rose III and redshirt senior quarterback Tyler Rogers look to etch their names further into the program's record book. The two players sit in the top-5 for a combined 11 career offensive records for the Aggies.

Rose III already has his name second all-time for rushing yards (4,373) and rushing touchdowns (36), third in carries (744), and all-purpose yards (5,465) and fourth in scoring (240).

Rogers also looks to rewrite the record books as he is second all-time in passing yards (9,730), completions (863), attempts (1,406), passing touchdowns (66), total offense (10,353) and total touchdowns (79).

Wide receiver Jaleel Scott also sits 10th all-time in receiving touchdowns (10), despite only suiting up for his second season as an Aggie.

WHAT IF…?
Should the Aggies win on Saturday, the team finishes the season with six wins and a chance to play in a postseason bowl for the first time since 1960.
