LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The National Collegiate Equestrian Association announced the 2017 All-America teams on Thursday. The top-four riders per discipline were named First-Team All-America by the NCEA Selection Committee. The next four riders were named Second-Team All-America, while honorable mention All-Americans rounded out the list.
After a 5-7 season, including a victory over top-ranked Texas A&M, the Aggies earned two honors on the NCEA All-America team on top of six United Equestrian Conference post-season honors.
Madison Brayman was named to the NCEA Equitation over Fences First-Team. Brayman was also the UEC Equitation over Fences Rider of the Year. The junior posted a 9-2-1 record, including four Most Outstanding Player nods.
Kimberly Ferrante earned Honorable Mention honors in Reining. The Somis, Calif. native had an impressive season which also got her named to the UEC All-Conference team in Reining.
The New Mexico State equestrian team will wrap up their 2017 season at the NCEA Championships, April 12-15, in Waco, Texas.
