Galicia leads the team in points (8) and goals (4) with Martinez second in both (3g, 6p) while
Emma Smith (1g, 3a) is third in points with 5. Freshman
Alexa Barrera leads the team with four assists.

Scouting the Vaqueros
The Vaqueros (11-5-2) visit the City of Crosses on a six game unbeaten streak including five wins and a draw. The teams have split their all-time series 3-3 with each team winning its home games versus the other. Last season, UTRGV beat the Aggies 3-2 in Edinburg.

Offensively, UTRGV's 30 goals on the season are good for a second-place tie in the Western Athletic Conference. The Vaqueros attack is led by freshman forward Emily Zapata with 10 goals and 21 points. Zapata is tied with Kansas City's Kelsey Mothershead for most goals in the WAC this season. Junior forward Sarah Bonney is second on the squad in goals (7) and points (16).
Junior Kinga Szemik has appeared in 19 games in goal this season while starting in 15 for an 8-5-1 overall record. Szemik is fifth in the conference in goals-against average with a 1.01. She's recorded 57 saves to go with a .781 save percentage.

Weekend in Review
NM State took its final road trip of the season, visiting WAC opponents Grand Canyon and CSU Bakersfield.

The match against the Lopes was a hard fought, defensive battle. The lone goal of the game came in the 26
th minute on a free kick from GCU's Brylee Hawkins to give the Lopes a 1-0 win.
Ashley Martin stopped nine shots on the night including a penalty kick in the 31
st minute.

In the Golden State, the Aggies fell behind 2-0 in the first thirty minutes due to a goal that deflected off an NM State defender and a goal from the 'Runners Aminah Settles. Freshman
Mia Montano set a new career-high in saves with nine after checking into the game after halftime.
