LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The New Mexico State women's tennis team returns home for a pair of matches this Saturday, Feb. 24, as it plays host to Tarleton and New Mexico Military Institute.
First up for the Aggies on Saturday at the NM State Tennis Center will be the TexAnns at 9 a.m. (MT) followed by a 5 p.m. contest against the Lady Broncos.
Tarleton enters the match 2-0 on the year after taking down Ouachita Baptist and Henderson State 6-3 and 5-4, respectively. The last time the Aggies and TexAnns squared off in dual play, NM State came out victorious 5-2 in 2013.
Like Tarleton, NMMI is also 2-0 on the year with wins over Jacksonville College and Barton Community College. The Lady Broncos had their five matches from last week cancelled due to weather. New Mexico Military Institute will first take on Tarleton on Saturday at 1 p.m. before playing the Aggies.
New Mexico State looks to bounce back after dropping both of its matches last weekend on its trip through the Lone Star State. The Aggies are currently 2-5 on the year as they look to improve this weekend at home. NM State men's and women's tennis matches are always free for fans of all ages.
