LAS CRUCES, N.M. – New Mexico State women's tennis fell 4-0 to Abilene Christian on Saturday, Feb. 3, at the NM State Tennis Center.

Eli Arnaudova and
Vanessa Valdez fell on court No. 3 to start doubles action followed by
Lindsay Harlas and
Yadira Rubio losing 6-4 on court No. 1.
Rebecca Keijzerwaard and
Quinty Janssen were locked in a battle, 6-5, with their Wildcat (4-3) counterparts when the deciding match wrapped up on No. 1.

Singles started with Keijzerwaard bested 6-4, 6-2 on court No. 2 before Valdez lost at the top singles position 6-4, 6-1. The Wildcats then clinched when NM State's (1-3) Janssen was ousted by Ileana Mocciola 6-4, 6-3.

Harlas and Rubio both won the first set in their respective matches, 7-6, but both went unfinished after ACU clinched the match on court No. 5.

The Aggies now hit the road for Friday, Feb. 16, match against Houston at 9 a.m. (MT) followed by a meeting at Sam Houston State on Saturday, Feb. 17. NM State then returns home on Saturday, Feb. 24, against Tarleton State. First serve is set for 9 a.m. Admission is free for fans at all men's and women's tennis matches.
